New Delhi: Divya Bharti is often regarded as one of the most beautiful actresses of the 1990s, admired not just for her looks but also her impressive acting skills. Her rapid rise to fame earned her significant love and acclaim from fans. However, her tragic and premature passing at the age of 19 shocked many and continues to leave cinephiles grappling with the loss.

It is less known that Divya had signed multiple films prior to her untimely death, and several of these projects were subsequently completed by other actresses. One notable film, in which Divya had already begun shooting, left a mark on the industry after her tragic demise.

When Tabu Replaced Divya Bharti

Divya Bharti was cast alongside Ajay Devgn in the film “Vijaypath”. Reports indicate that she had completed 20% of the filming when her life was cut short. Following her death, actress Tabu stepped in to fill her role. “Vijaypath” marked the first collaboration between Tabu and Ajay Devgn, who would go on to work together in a total of ten films.

Vijaypath Budget and Collection

Released on August 5, 1994, “Vijaypath” recently celebrated its 31st anniversary. The film was produced on a budget of ₹2.75 crores and achieved remarkable success at the box office, grossing four times its budget with total earnings of ₹11.54 crores worldwide. The cast also included Danny, Suresh Oberoi, Reema Lagoo, and Gulshan Grover, while the film was directed by Farooq Siddiqui and featured music by Anu Malik.
