Hundreds of thousands of Palestinians have been forcibly displaced from Gaza City amidst Israel’s ongoing ground invasion. On Tuesday, an Israeli army spokesperson announced a “temporary” evacuation route along Salah al-Din Street, which will be available for just 48 hours. Residents are advised to move southward from Wadi Gaza. According to reports from Al Jazeera journalist Tareq Abu Azzoum in Nuseirat, many families are fleeing Gaza City due to the threat of Israeli attacks, with some travelers spending over thirteen hours navigating overcrowded roads to reach safety. Additionally, dual nationals still in Gaza report having to flee multiple times under the continuous threat of explosions and military expulsion orders. The humanitarian situation remains dire, with no assurances of safety as the military actions continue.
