In a move to ensure that ambulances arrive within 15 minutes, Zenzo has launched an aggregator service featuring a fleet of 25,000 ambulances across 450 cities. The initiative also aims to train Zomato delivery partners to serve as first responders when necessary.

The service operates under the slogan “one nation, one price” and provides a single contact number (1800 102 1298) for both Zenzo-owned ambulances and those from partner emergency service providers. Pricing is set at ₹1,500 for a basic life support ambulance, covering the first 5 kilometers, with an additional charge of ₹50 for each extra kilometer. For advanced life support ambulances, the cost is ₹2,500, with a fee of ₹100 per additional kilometer. Sweta Mangal, the Co-Founder and CEO of Zenzo, highlighted that these pricing options are competitive within the industry. The company has invested approximately ₹5 crore in technology since the pandemic, aiming to enhance its services. The operation will be supported by Zenzo’s existing call center located in Dadar, with plans for further regional coordinating centers as the service grows.

Zenzo has already trained around 9,000 Zomato delivery partners to act as first responders during emergencies, according to a company representative. Zenzo, which is part of the ₹600-crore Zenplus group (formerly known as ZHL), is predominantly supported by MUrgency, which holds a majority stake in the company. Zenzo collaborates with various state governments and also provides emergency services for organizations like the Reliance Foundation. Notably, the late Ratan Tata invested in MUrgency back in 2016.
