The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced on Tuesday that the NDA government will soon fulfill its remaining commitments regarding welfare schemes. Speaking during an Assembly session to express gratitude for the Governor’s address, Naidu highlighted that the Rhythu Bharosa Scheme, aimed at supporting farmers, will be launched shortly. This initiative will provide a total of ₹20,000 crore in financial aid, combining contributions from both the Central and State governments.

Naidu also mentioned that the Thalliki Vandanam scheme, which supports mothers, is set to commence in May of this year. Under this scheme, eligible youth will receive a monthly unemployment allowance of ₹3,000.

Despite these plans, several popular welfare initiatives, part of a “Super Six” set of programs, remain unimplemented. These include free transportation for women using state-run buses, a monetary assistance of ₹20,000 for each farmer under the Annadata Sukhibhava scheme, ₹15,000 for women under the Thalliki Vandanam scheme for sending their children to school, and the aforementioned unemployment allowance.

The Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to executing all promised welfare schemes, asserting that Andhra Pradesh is the only state in India disbursing ₹34,000 crore in pensions annually. He emphasized the government’s goal of eradicating poverty entirely, with plans to provide housing for all homeless families and allocate land to rural households over the next five years.

Naidu stated that the state aims to create 20 lakh jobs and will introduce the P-4 policy (Public-Private-People Partnership) starting from Udagi, the Telugu New Year, to foster wealth creation and state development. He also noted that the Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) signed by the state government over the past seven months have attracted approximately ₹6.50 lakh crore in investments, potentially generating 5 lakh new jobs.

Additionally, Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party President K. Pawan Kalyan affirmed that the NDA alliance, encompassing TDP, Jana Sena, and BJP, remains committed to working together for the state’s progress. He expressed confidence that this coalition would maintain power for the next 15 years, acknowledging the challenges inherent in coalition governance but emphasizing unity for the benefit of the people and the state’s development.
