    Delhi elections results 2025 live news: “AAP will form govt with huge majority…People voted for politics of honesty”: Manish Sisodia

    Manish Sisodia, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate from the Jangpura constituency, expressed confidence in the party’s success ahead of the results, and asserted that the party has to do a lot more work for Delhi.

    Speaking about the upcoming election results, he acknowledged the anxiety on the result day.

    While speaking with ANI, Sisodia said, “We are confident that the (AAP) government will be formed. We have to do a lot more work for Delhi and the education of the childrens.”

    While speaking with the reporters, he added, “Everyone has anxiety on result day. We are human too, but we have this faith that we are going to form the government as we have worked under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal.” – ANI

    Delhi Chief Minister and AAP leader Atishi on Saturday exuded confidence in her party’s victory in the Delhi Assembly elections and affirmed that the people of Delhi, including from her constituency Kalkaji, would support the AAP and re-elect Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal with a huge mandate.

    Projecting a sweeping victory for the AAP, she said that party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal will become the Chief Minister of Delhi for the fourth time with a huge majority.

    Speaking to the media outside her residence today, Atishi said, “This has not been an ordinary election, it has been a fight between the good and evil, a fight between work and (gundagardi) hooliganism. I have high hopes that the people of Kalkaji constituency and the entire state of Delhi will stand up with the party that has worked, will stand up with the Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal.”

    Delhi elections results 2025 live news: 4-tier cordon, drones–Police ensure security at every counting centre for Delhi polls

    Ahead of the counting of votes for the Delhi Assembly elections, Delhi Police have enhanced security measures at every counting centre from proper personnel deployment to using drones.

    Speaking to media, Joint Commissioner of Police, Southern Range, Sanjay Kumar Jain said that a four-tier security cordon has been inducted at the counting centre.

    “At every counting centre, there are two companies of CAPFs. DSP, ADSP and inspectors are also deployed here. A four-tier security cordon has been maintained here. For an aerial view, we are using drones. During the victory procession by the candidates, police deployment will be done,” he said. – ANI

    Delhi election results 2025 live updates: Counting of votes begins at 19 locations amid tight security

    Counting of votes for Delhi’s 70 assembly constituencies began amid tight security at 19 locations across the national capital on Saturday.

    Delhi’s Chief Electoral Officer Alice Vaz said 5,000 personnel, including counting supervisors and assistants, micro-observers, and support staff trained for the process, had been deployed for the exercise.

    According to the Conduct of Election Rules, postal ballots will be counted first and the process of counting of votes recorded in electronic voting machines (EVMs) begin 30 minutes later.

    After that, counting of votes cast through postal ballots and EVMs will continue simultaneously. – PTI
