Let’s take a look at some of his most iconic action-packed movies, ranging from “Guntur Kaaram” to “Spyder.”

“Guntur Kaaram” was one of the most anticipated releases of 2024 for Mahesh Babu fans. Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, the film hit theaters on January 12 and featured a stellar cast including Sreeleela, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prakash Raj, and Ramya Krishnan. The story follows Ramana, who faces a life-changing dilemma when asked to disown his status as Ramya Krishnan’s son. Despite falling slightly short of expectations, “Guntur Kaaram” still managed to perform decently at the box office, grossing approximately $21.62 million worldwide. The movie is now available for streaming on Netflix.

In “Bharath Ane Nenu,” directed by Koratala Siva, Mahesh Babu takes on a powerful role in this 2018 Telugu political action drama. The film revolves around Bharath, an Oxford University graduate who becomes the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh after his father’s passing. Determined to bring about positive change in the system, Bharath’s efforts lead to increased complications and enemies. “Bharath Ane Nenu” can be streamed on Hotstar and Amazon Prime Video.

“Pokiri,” released in 2006 and directed by Puri Jagannadh, is another iconic blockbuster for Mahesh Babu. The film’s success led to remakes in multiple languages. Mahesh Babu plays a fearless thug who takes on any job for the right price, only to have his life complicated when he falls in love. “Pokiri” is available for streaming on Hotstar and MX Player.

“Sypder,” directed by A. R. Murugadoss and released in 2017, marks Mahesh Babu’s debut in the Tamil film industry. The film follows an intelligence officer who develops software to track people in need, leading him on a mission to protect Hyderabad from a ruthless killer. With a strong supporting cast, including Rakul Preet Singh and S. J. Suryah, “Spyder” is available for streaming on Netflix, ZEE5, and Amazon Prime Video.

“Khaleja,” released in 2010 and directed by Trivikram Srinivas, is another successful collaboration between Mahesh Babu and the director. The film, set in a remote village plagued by a mysterious illness, follows the arrival of a cab driver believed to be their savior. Mixing action, drama, and humor, “Khaleja” offers a unique and engaging storyline. The movie can be streamed on Hotstar, Amazon Prime Video, and MX Player.

Each of these films showcases Mahesh Babu’s versatility and talent in the action genre, making him one of the most beloved stars in Telugu cinema.
